This course teaches the practical applications of RBBM/RBT for training dogs in what is commonly known as “Obedience”. This class teaches the system of application of all the prior classes of learning and working with dogs. Sit, stay, down, place, come, up, off, etc. are the simple beginnings. The class will cover how to build a learning drive in a dog through the RBT system methods. Complex training problem solving and methods will be covered and taught through understanding associative and cognitive learning and capturing behaviors. Having a deep understanding from previous RBBM/RBT courses, this class will change your ability to affect dogs to a greater extent.
During this course you may bring your dog, a client dog, or be assigned a dog to work. (You will be required to give detailed behavior information about the dog you bring). Days 1, 2, 8 & 9 will be review, discussion and recap. Days 3-7 will encompass detailed work with the dogs to using the art form of RBT to achieve “obedience” behaviors.
This course will give the student the ability to teach, reach and train dogs to a higher level, along with more understanding of how to reach and teach clients for success.
The Zoom segments of class will focus on evaluation and assistance for improving technique and understanding. Q & A sessions will also occur. In-person class time will be 50% Lecture/discussion, 50% Working with your dog.
